Job summary

Financial People India is recruiting a Senior Accountant – Manager to lead a Delhi-based team and deliver UK-based accounting and tax services from Janakpuri. The role involves supervising junior staff, reviewing year-end accounts, and ensuring compliance with UK tax and VAT requirements.

The successful candidate will oversee Company formations and filings, coordinate with the UK partner, and identify process improvements across client deliverables. Strong English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience managing a team and UK accounts/tax.
• Working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent and other relevant practice software.
• ACCA, CIMA, AAT or CA Inter qualified or part-qualified (preferred).
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of junior accountants and bookkeepers.
• Prepare and review year-end accounts under FRS 102 1A and FRS 105.
• Manage UK corporation tax and personal self-assessment tax returns.
• Oversee VAT returns, RTI submissions and Companies House filings.
• Maintain quality across all client deliverables.
• Report directly to the UK partner and manage day-to-day operations.

About Financial People India We are a UK Accountancy BPO/KPO based in Janakpuri, Delhi. We work exclusively with UK-based accountancy firms and their clients, producing accounts, tax returns and bookkeeping for UK SME and family businesses. We are growing and looking for a Senior Accountant to lead our Delhi team.

Role: Senior Accountant – Manager

Location: Janakpuri District Centre, Delhi (Office-based)

Salary: Competitive

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (UK times) and bank holidays observed.

What You Will Do

• Lead and manage a team of junior accountants and bookkeepers
• Prepare and review year-end accounts under FRS 102 1A and FRS 105
• Manage UK corporation tax and personal self-assessment tax returns
• Oversee VAT returns, RTI submissions and Companies House filings
• Maintain quality across all client deliverables
• Report directly to the UK partner and manage day-to-day operations independently
• Identify ways to improve systems and processes

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on managing a team and UK accounts and tax experience
• Working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent and other relevant practice software
• ACCA, CIMA, AAT or CA Inter qualified or part-qualified (preferred)
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Experience managing or supervising a team
• Based in Delhi NCR and must be able to commute to Janakpuri West
