Qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce with relevant accounting experience.
• 4-5 years practical experience in accounting, preferably in construction/infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Tally Prime, Zoho Books or equivalent systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting operations, incl. journal entries and financial statements.
• Maintain project-wise accounting records: payments, materials, labour, WIP.
• Manage GST compliances, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciliation.
• Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and returns.
• Perform vendor and customer reconciliations and follow up on balances.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing, audit prep and reporting.
• Ensure proper maintenance of supporting documents per standards.

Job Profile

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with a strong understanding of accounting operations in the construction industry. The candidate should be capable of independently managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Handle end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting operations, including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
• 2. Maintain project-wise accounting records, including contractor payments, subcontractor bills, material purchases, labour expenses, project costs, and work-in-progress, wherever applicable.
• 3. Manage GST compliances, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, input tax credit verification, and related documentation.
• 4. Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments, return preparation, and reconciliation with the books of accounts.
• 5. Perform vendor and customer reconciliations and follow up on outstanding balances.
• 6. Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, audit preparation, and financial reporting.
• 7. Ensure proper maintenance of supporting documents and accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• - Graduate in Commerce; CA Inter or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
• - 4-5 years of practical experience in accounting, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry.
• - Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping, GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• - Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally Prime, Zoho Books, or equivalent systems.
• - Good Excel skills, analytical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
