Job summary

Mosaic Wellness seeks a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in India. With 5 years of accounting and finance experience, you will manage daily books, post entries, and oversee provisions and accruals while ensuring timely financial reporting.

You will perform reconciliations, assist with month-end and year-end closings, and support audit and statutory requirements. Strong Excel skills and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, provisions, accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
• Experience with ledger scrutiny and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate books.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Prepare and review monthly provisions based on outstanding expenses and business requirements.
• Ensure proper accounting and timely reversal of provisions where applicable.
• Perform bank, vendor, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Handle month end and year end closing activities.
• Review expense accounts and identify unusual or incorrect accounting entries.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules for management review.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment in accordance with applicable standards and company policies.
• Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as required.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and auditors for accounting-related queries.
• Support statutory, tax, and internal audit requirements by providing required schedules and documentation.
• Maintain supporting documents for all accounting transactions and ensure proper audit trails.
• Identify discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, processes, and applicable regulations.
