Job summary

M/S The National Tea Depot is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting, statutory compliance, audits, and financial planning activities. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of FMCG accounting experience and be proficient in GST/TDS, IND AS, and inventory accounting.

Proficiency in Tally, SAP, or Oracle and strong MS Excel skills are required to handle general ledger, financial statements, and payroll accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• 5-6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in FMCG.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payments, collections, and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely GST, TDS, and other statutory filings and compliances.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors during audits.
• Monitor financial performance and prepare variance analysis and management reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy.
• Manage payroll accounting and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Support cost analysis and inventory accounting with FMCG understanding.
• Liaise with banks, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and support working-capital management.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting systems.
