The role involves journal entries, general ledger maintenance, tax compliance, preparation of financial statements (P/L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), and monthly closings with variance analysis to support management decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Direct and Indirect Taxation.
• Hands-on experience in day-to-day accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong experience in financial statement preparation.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Handle Direct Tax and Indirect Tax activities and ensure timely statutory compliance.
• Prepare and review financial statements (P/L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections and monitor actuals against budget.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants during audits and statutory requirements.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, taxation, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of direct and indirect taxation, financial statement preparation, and accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Handle Direct Tax and Indirect Tax activities and ensure timely statutory compliance.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections and monitor actuals against budget.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights on variances, trends, and business performance.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and other external stakeholders during audits and statutory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Support management with financial analysis and accounting-related decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
