Job summary

Eastvantage Group in Bengaluru is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions, support the monthly close, and ensure accuracy of financial records for our UK entity.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP, perform variance analyses, and maintain reconciliations across the general ledger, while ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• CPA designation or active candidacy is preferred.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS.
• Analyze variances in financial results and provide clear explanations to management.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and overall efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the monthly close process. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and play a key role in maintaining compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and internal policies. Your primary responsibility will involve working with our United Kingdom entity.

What You'll Do:

• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals

What We're Looking For:

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
