Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a Security Operations Specialist to monitor, detect, and respond to security events across client environments. You will work with incident response runbooks, coordinate with technical teams, and help reduce risk through timely containment and precise documentation.

You will analyze security alerts from SIEM/EDR platforms, triage incidents, and support vulnerability management while contributing to improvements in playbooks and security controls.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience in security operations, incident response, or a security operations center environment.
• Practical knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools such as SIEM, EDR, or network security platforms.
• Experience analyzing security events, logs, and alerts to identify threats and false positives.
• Understanding of common attack techniques, vulnerabilities, and threat categories.
• Ability to follow documented procedures, escalation paths, and evidence handling requirements.
• Experience documenting incidents, actions taken, and outcomes in a structured manner.
• Familiarity with basic networking, operating systems, and identity concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial analysis to determine scope, impact, and urgency of incidents.

• Support vulnerability management activities, including validation and tracking of remediation actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of security operations processes, playbooks, and controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers during incident response and post incident reviews.
