Job summary

Premier Solar Systems in Tirupati, India, seeks a vigilant Security Supervisor to protect employees, visitors and assets. You will oversee security operations, access control and CCTV surveillance across the plant, coordinating with internal teams and external authorities as needed.

You will supervise security personnel, manage deployment according to the manpower plan, and ensure strict adherence to SOPs. The role requires proactive incident reporting and strong communication across departments

Job Purpose

To ensure the overall security of employees, visitors, company assets, materials, infrastructure and premises by effectively managing security operations, access control, surveillance, emergency response and security manpower.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations

(i) Ensure effective security coverage of the entire plant/project premises.

(ii) Monitor and control all entry and exit points.

(iii) Ensure proper frisking and access control for employees, contractors, visitors and vehicles.

(iv) Conduct regular patrolling of critical and vulnerable areas.

(v) Identify and report security risks, suspicious activities and unsafe practices.

(vi) Ensure strict compliance with security SOPs, company policies and statutory requirements.

Manpower Management

(i) Supervise security guards and Security Supervisors deployed at the site.

(ii) Ensure proper deployment of security personnel as per approved manpower plan.

(iii) Conduct roll calls, briefings and shift handovers.

(iv) Monitor attendance, discipline, grooming and performance of security personnel.

(v) Arrange replacement manpower in case of absenteeism.

(vi) Conduct regular toolbox talks and security briefings.

Gate & Access Control

(i) Control movement of employees, contractors, visitors and vehicles.

(ii) Verify ID cards, gate passes, visitor passes and authorization documents.

(iii) Ensure proper checking of incoming and outgoing materials.

(iv) Monitor RGP/NRGP and other material movement documents.

(v) Prevent unauthorized entry and exit of personnel and materials.

CCTV & Surveillance

(i) Monitor CCTV cameras and ensure effective surveillance of critical areas.

(ii) Immediately report suspicious activities or security incidents.

(iii) Ensure CCTV systems are functioning properly and coordinate with Engineering/IT for repairs.

(iv) Maintain CCTV monitoring records and incident footage whenever required.

Material & Vehicle Security

(i) Ensure proper checking of vehicles at entry and exit gates.

(ii) Verify material movement against authorized documents.

(iii) Prevent theft, pilferage and unauthorized removal of company property.

(iv) Maintain records of vehicle movements and material gate passes.

Incident Management

(i) Respond promptly to security incidents, thefts, unauthorized entry, accidents, fights and other emergencies.

(ii) Prepare preliminary incident reports and submit them to the Security Manager.

(iii) Preserve evidence and CCTV footage related to incidents.

(iv) Coordinate with EHS, Administration, HR and other departments during investigations.

(v) Support police and other government authorities whenever required.

Emergency & Crisis Management

(i) Support emergency response during fire, medical emergencies, natural calamities and other crises.

(ii) Ensure emergency gates and evacuation routes remain accessible.

(iii) Coordinate with EHS and Emergency Response Teams during drills and actual emergencies.

(iv) Participate in mock drills and security emergency exercises.

Contractor & Visitor Management

(i) Ensure contractors and visitors follow site security procedures.

(ii) Verify contractor entry documentation and authorization.

(iii) Monitor contractor workforce movement.

(v) Ensure visitors are properly registered, escorted and issued visitor passes where required.

Reporting & Documentation

(i) Maintain daily security reports and shift handover records.

(ii) Prepare incident, theft, loss, recovery and abnormality reports.

(iii) Maintain records of manpower, vehicle movement, material movement and visitor entries.

(iv) Ensure all security registers and documents are updated and properly maintained.
