Job summary

Renault Group seeks a Security Manager for Renault Technical Centre in India to lead physical security, protect people and assets, and ensure policy compliance. You will manage risk assessments, incident response, and security technology across multiple sites, while coordinating with legal, compliance, and external partners.

The role requires a senior background in corporate security, a commissioner's level of leadership, and the ability to manage an operating budget of significant scale.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline with desirable globally recognised professional certifications in security management like CPP, PSP, CFE.
  • Background in forces as a Commissioned officer for 10 years with a relevant corporate security experience of minimum 5 years in relevant industries.

Responsibilities

  • Security Planning & Risk Assessment: develop and implement a comprehensive security plan across sites.
  • Develop & enforce security procedures; ensure compliance with laws and standards.
  • Oversee physical security for facilities, personnel and assets.
  • Coordinate incident response and crisis management; engage agencies as needed.
  • Evaluate and update security technologies per guidelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve security objectives.
  • Manage security OPEX budget and seek CAPEX approvals for improvements.
  • Liaise with legal/compliance; file reports and support investigations.

JOB PURPOSE

The Security Manager for Renault Technical Centre is responsible for the physical security aspects of the organization, protecting its people, assets, brand, and information. He oversees a team of security professionals who are responsible for risk assessment, asset protection, prevention of malicious acts, access management, investigations & security audits of the sites affecting environment; working closely with management & stakeholders to develop, implement and ensure compliance of various security policies and procedures.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Security Planning & Risk Assessment - Developing & implementing a comprehensive security plan aligned with the organizational goals & objectives. Conduct risk assessment to identify potential threats & vulnerabilities.
  • Development & Enforcement - Proactively engage to update & enforce security procedures across multiple sites of the organization. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations & standards.
  • Physical Security - Oversee & guide the design, implementation, and management of physical security measures for facilities, personnel & assets. Collaborate with external vendors & internal personnel to enhance on-site security.
  • Incident Response & Crisis Management - Develop & maintain an effective response plan to address security incidents promptly. Coordinate with relevant agencies during crisis. Recovery & continuity measures after crisis.
  • Security Technology - Evaluate and update security technologies as per corporate guidelines.
  • Collaboration and Communication - Engage & coordinate with different stakeholders for the achieving security objectives.
  • Budget Management - Manage security OPEX budget of ₹ 55 million or more for both manpower & asset management. Request, get approval for CAPEX budget for overall security improvement projects.
  • Liaison & Investigations - Work closely with legal & compliance to address deviations, file complaints with necessary authorities & follow through.
  • Emergency Response Plan - Develop and test emergency plans to test various scenarios, ensuring the safety of all organizational assets.

  • Resource Constraints - Budget Human resource Prioritize security investments based on risk assessments and seek cost-effective solutions without compromising security. Develop robust recruitment and retention strategies, offer competitive salaries, and provide ongoing training and career development opportunities.
