Job summary

Vocational Instruction Project Community Services is seeking a permanent part-time security professional responsible for overall safety and security of clients, staff, assets and operations. The role reports to senior operations leadership and may be reassigned across modalities as needed.

The candidate must hold extensive law enforcement experience, security certifications, and de-escalation training, with strong computer literacy and incident-record management skills.

Qualifications

  • 10 years previous Law Enforcement experience.
  • 8 & 16 Hrs. Security Certification
  • Security and/or Law Enforcement licenses (retired acceptable)
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Acquire Fire Guard F-01 Certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Computer Literate.
  • De-escalating training Certification

Responsibilities

  • Report to Work in business attire.
  • Ensure the safety of all clients, visitors, and staff while they are on the premises.
  • Crowd control.
  • Receives, investigates, and evaluates all reported incidents and safety issues.
  • Take affirmative action to identify and correct potential safety problems prior to the time they represent a hazard to patients, visitors, or staff.
  • Diffuse volatile situations in a calm matter.
  • Makes periodic recommendation on the improvement of safety and security.
  • Make and assist with searches at any facility when needed.
  • Ensure that the floors and rest (bathrooms) areas are properly secured at the end of the day.
  • Assist in the Fire Prevention Team with the Fire Safety Director to conduct all Fire & Non-Fire training & drills.
  • Maintain appropriate records on security issues and incidents.
  • Encourage voluntary compliance with rules and regulations of the all Facility.
  • Assist and enhance the overall effort of the administration to increase productivity and eliminate losses due to theft.
  • Tour other modalities of the agency.
  • May be re-assigned at an agency outside modality.
  • Liaison with Governing Authorities NYPD-FDNY.
  • Other jobs as assigned by Administration.

Sr. Director Operations FTS and Facility Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Permanent part time position is under the direct supervision of the Sr. Director of Operations (FTS) and Facility Manager or appointed Supervisor, the position is responsible for the overall safety and security of the clients, staff, assets and operations of the agency.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Report to Work in business attire.
