Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Security Analyst to join our Global Cybersecurity Team. You will monitor security tools, identify vulnerabilities, and work with IT and development teams to remediate risks across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and contribute to continuous improvement of our vulnerability management processes. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, or cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and remediation processes.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure & AWS).
  • Knowledge of networking, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and application security.
  • Experience with vulnerability frameworks (NIST, CVSS, etc.).
  • Some experience with programming or scripting and familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear oral, written, and visual presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and align tasks effectively.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong eagerness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security tools and dashboards to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and recommend compensating controls where appropriate to reduce risk.
  • Evaluate security risks across on-premises infrastructure, cloud environments, applications, and enterprise systems.
  • Communicate findings to appropriate teams and track remediation efforts through closure.
  • Create detailed vulnerability reports for technical teams and summary reports for management.
  • Collaborate with IT, cloud, and development teams to prioritize and remediate security vulnerabilities based on risk and business impact.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes and tools.
  • Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to help strengthen Copeland's cybersecurity posture.
  • Support cybersecurity programs to align with organizational security objectives.
  • Conduct regular security scans, validate vulnerabilities through penetration testing, and verify remediation activities across the enterprise and cloud environments.
  • Administer, monitor, and optimize cybersecurity tools. Assist in establishing metrics and KPIs to measure vulnerability reduction and program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and engineering teams to implement security controls, establish sustainable processes, improve compliance, and reduce organizational risk.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives, projects, technical assessments, and stakeholder discussions by providing security expertise and recommendations.
  • Identify gaps in cybersecurity processes, controls, and technologies, and drive improvements to strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.

Job Purpose

As a Security Analyst, you will be a key member of our Global Cybersecurity Team, helping to strengthen Copeland’s cybersecurity posture. This role involves monitoring tools and dashboards, identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address security risks effectively. You will also contribute to continuously improving our vulnerability management processes and play an active role in ensuring our Copeland's IT systems, applications, and data remain secure from evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities
