Job summary

Choice International seeks an experienced Sector Head Water Resources to lead and grow the Water Resources practice across domestic and international markets from Mumbai. The role provides strategic, technical and operational leadership for business growth, project delivery, client relationships and thought leadership in water resources planning, irrigation, river basin management and IWRM.

• Lead and strengthen the Water Resources practice, defining sector strategy, growth priorities.
• Provide technical leadership across Water Resources projects to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Monitor project performance, resolve critical technical issues and support project teams in successful execution.
• Drive Business Development through sector intelligence, market opportunities and strategic client engagement.
• Identify emerging policies, technologies, funding programmes and industry trends to create new business opportunities.
• Build, mentor and develop high-performing multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strengthen relationships with Government agencies, clients, development partners and key industry stakeholders.
• Represent the organization at high-level meetings, conferences, industry forums and client interactions.
• Develop thought leadership through white papers, technical publications, knowledge notes and industry presentations.
• Build professional visibility and thought leadership through LinkedIn and other relevant social media platforms.
• Promote innovation, standardization, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the Water Resources practice.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sector Head Water Resources to lead and grow the organization’s Water Resources practice across domestic and international markets.

The role will provide strategic, technical and operational leadership, with responsibility for business growth, project delivery, client relationships, team development and thought leadership across water resources planning, irrigation, river basin management and Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM).
