Job summary

Egis Group is seeking a senior water resources leader to drive best practices, strategic direction and performance across water, wastewater and related urban infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes client relationship development, risk mitigation and budgeting while leading a high‑performing team to deliver on complex, large‑scale initiatives.

The incumbent will coordinate with major clients and government authorities, ensure timely deliverables, and promote continuous improvement and value

Qualifications

• Graduate in relevant engineering and Master’s Degree in Environment/Water Resources.
• 15–20 years of experience in water, wastewater, solid waste management, public health engineering, irrigation, or urban infrastructure.
• Proven track record leading complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating with major clients and government authorities.
• Experience developing and managing complex budgets and pricing strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement best practice in Water department, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
• Ensure that strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and enable the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
• Client relationship management and establish long‑term relationships for repeat engagements.
• Provide leadership to the department under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high‑performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
• Provide optimum design solutions, technology selection, identification and mitigation of risk during pre‑bid and post‑bid stages.
• Review and finalize schedules to meet contractual requirements.
• Monitor progress and design quantity regularly.
• Obtain timely approvals of deliverables from customer/client consultants for timely completion of projects.
• Interact with and understand customer’s needs and expectations to enable the effective delivery of quality services.
• Respond promptly and positively to all customer enquiries.
• Optimise resources and manage time to handle various jobs (tenders & operating jobs) running concurrently to meet the timeline for submission of deliverables as required.
• Control costs by constantly monitoring the actual quantities during post‑bid engineering so that they do not exceed the tender quantities.
