Job description

Role & responsibilities

• EHS Management & Risk Assessment (60%): Drive overall EHS management to avoid safety incidents, conduct risk assessments, hazard identifications, and daily monitoring (Safety Patrols/SAO) at factory premises. Plan improvements, develop/upgrade work standards and SOPs as per statutory requirements/guidelines.
• Trainings, Compliance & Audits (30%): Conduct various safety trainings, incident analyses, and preventive measures. Maintain various compliances (e.g., Factory Laws, DISH, MPCB, CPCB) with records related to EHS management. Coordinate EHS audits, EHS Committee & ERT team functions; monitor and maintain the fire hydrant system, STP, and smoke detector system.
• Safety Culture & Campaigns (5%): Lead safety campaigns, motivational activities for safety, and develop a safety culture alongside innovation and QSS activities.
• Shop-floor Support (5%): Support other shop-floor sections as and when needed.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Education: Graduate/PG + Diploma in Safety Management (Essential); B.E./BSc/MSc + ADIS (MSBTE) or equivalent (Desired).
• Experience: Minimum 12-15 years in EHS Management within Steel, Auto, or Manufacturing industries with onsite EHS management experience.
• Mandatory Expertise: Experience implementing ISO 14001 & 45001; well-versed with Factory's Act, DISH, MPCB, CPCB compliances, safety audits, statutory requirements, fire permit management, and developing a safety mindset at the operator level.
• Age & Gender: 35-40 years preferred; Male candidates preferred.
