Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible to ensure consistent quality of input materials, intermediate and finished products in line with organization’s QMS Policy, BIS standards and sustainability objectives.
• Support HoD Quality to ensure smooth quality operations at the Unit.
• Responsible for maintaining quality of all incoming raw material and adequate stock, quantity of raw material required for plant operation as per production plan.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory of chemicals/glassware and other consumables required for smooth laboratory functioning.
• Proactively identify quality deviations and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
• Responsible to ensure proper unloading, stacking, segregation, and storage of raw materials to avoid contamination and deterioration.
• Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams to ensure appropriate raw mix preparation & material feeding to ensure stable kiln operation with minimal quality variation.
• Ensure strict adherence to organizational safety standards during unloading and handling.
• Promote dust control, spillage prevention, and waste minimization, and support initiatives related to alternative materials usage and carbon reduction.
• Responsible for timely posting of quality data and other quality parameters in SAP for all Raw Material, fuel, AFR and timely release for consumption.
• Responsible for imparting necessary on‑job training to sub‑ordinates to improve their skill and knowledge.
