Job summary

DALMIA BHARAT Ltd in Lanka, Assam, is seeking a Section Executive – Raw Material Handling to ensure quality, traceability and proper storage of clinker, fly ash, gypsum and additives.

You will manage sampling and testing per SOPs, coordinate with production and maintenance for stable grinding, and support audits while ensuring safety and waste minimization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent quality, traceability and controlled handling of all incoming raw materials in line with QMS policy and BIS standards.
• Ensure sampling, testing, and evaluation of all incoming raw materials as per SOPs.
• Identify quality deviations and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper unloading, stacking, segregation, and storage of raw materials to avoid contamination.
• Enforce FIFO discipline for clinker, gypsum, fly ash & additives.
• Monitor yard, hopper, and silo conditions from a quality perspective.
• Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams to ensure material feeding for stable grinding operation.
• Monitor reclaiming, feeding, and conveying systems affecting raw material consistency.
• Support internal audits & statutory inspections.
• Responsible for accurate documentation & reporting of Raw material receipts, consumption, Test results & trend analysis.
• Ensure strict adherence to organizational safety standards during unloading and handling.
• Promote dust control, spill prevention, and waste minimization, and support carbon-reduction initiatives.
