Job summary

SYSTRA seeks a Section Engineer-Architect-1 for on-site work in India. The role focuses on designing architectural, interior, and landscape elements for station and utility buildings within rail-based transit projects, with emphasis on compliance with relevant codes and green features.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture with at least 7 years in station/depots construction, and experience with high-speed rail or metro systems as defined.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Architecture streams with 7 years of experience in construction of Station buildings, OCC buildings, utility buildings or depots in rail-based transit projects.
• Experience with High-Speed/Metro projects as defined (ETCS-based, speeds 250 km/h+ for HSR; 160 km/h+ for semi high-speed/metro).
• Knowledge of Indian and International Codes for firefighting and fire protection.

Responsibilities

• Design architectural, interiors, and landscape aspects of utility buildings.
• Review technical proposals and drawings for architectural works.
• Implement green building features across projects.
• Ensure firefighting and fire protection provisions align with applicable Codes.
• Perform other duties required to complete the project.

Missions/Main Duties

• Designing of architectural, interiors, landscape of utility buildings etc.
• Review of Technical proposals, drawings of the architectural works.
• Implementation of green building features.
• Requirements of utility buildings for firefighting and fire protection as per relevant Indian and International Codes.
• Any other work required to be performed to complete the project.

Profile/Skills

Minimum Qualification : Graduate in Architecture streams 07 years of experience in construction of Station building /OCC building/ utility buildings/ depot building in Rail-based Transit System project(s)*.

• Rail-based Transit System project(s) shall mean High-Speed Railways / Semi High-Speed Railways / Metro Railways projects as defined below:
• High-Speed Railways projects (ETCS based) with operational speed equal or greater than 250 Kmph shall only be considered for evaluation.
• Semi High-Speed Railways including Urban/Suburban/ Intercity/ Regional Passenger Transit Systems, projects with operational speed equal to or greater than 160 Kmph shall only be considered for evaluation.
• Metro Railways excluding LRT/Tram/Monorail Systems, projects shall only be considered for evaluation.
