Digitactix is seeking an experienced SEO Team Lead to drive the agency's SEO, AEO, and GEO practice from Andheri East, Mumbai. The role blends technical mastery, content strategy, analytics, and people management to deliver impactful results for diverse clients.

You will lead data-driven decision making, leverage Gen-AI to optimize keyword strategy and on-page efforts, and mentor a growing team of SEO specialists.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead SEO strategy across a multi-industry client base (BFSI, IT/ITES, Real Estate, etc.).
• Define full-funnel SEO roadmaps integrating technical, content, and off-page optimization.
• Oversee audits, strategies, and reports before client delivery.
• Analyze search data to identify Gen-AI opportunities in SGE environments.
• Integrate AI tools for keyword strategy, entity mapping, and on-page optimization.
• Build data-driven frameworks linking SEO KPIs to leads and conversions.
• Collaborate with web, content, and media teams for channel alignment.
• Train and mentor the SEO team to ensure skill growth and quality.

About the Role

As the SEO Team Lead, you will drive the strategic direction, performance, and evolution of the agency's SEO, AEO, and GEO practice. This leadership role requires balancing technical mastery, content strategy, analytics, and people management. The ideal candidate demonstrates vision, precision, and the ability to leverage emerging AI technologies to shape next-generation search outcomes for clients. Must be comfortable with data and tables. Must be hands-on.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the agency's SEO + AEO + GEO strategy across a multi-industry client base (BFSI, IT/ITES, Real Estate, Hospitality, Education, Automotive, Lifestyle, Healthcare, FMCG, Consumer).
• Define full-funnel SEO roadmaps integrating technical, content, and off-page optimization.
• Oversee and approve all audits, strategies, and reports before client delivery.
• Analyze search data to identify opportunities in Gen-AI Search and SGE environments.
• Integrate LLM-based tools for AI-enhanced keyword strategy, entity mapping, and on-page optimization.
• Build data-driven frameworks to correlate SEO KPIs with lead and conversion outcomes.
• Collaborate with teams: web, content, and media to ensure SEO strategy alignment across all channels.
• Train and mentor the SEO team, ensuring consistent skill growth and process quality.
• Represent the SEO function in client meetings, pitches, and cross-department strategic reviews.
• Track emerging algorithms, schema evolutions, and AI search trends to keep the agency future-ready.

Required Skills

• Deep understanding of advanced SEO mechanics, like technical (Core Web Vitals, JavaScript SEO, schema), content (E-E-A-T, intent mapping), and analytics.
• Deep practical understanding of evolving AEO and GEO implementation
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Proficiency in enterprise-level SEO & AEO tools (GSC, Semrush, Screaming Frog, SurferSEO, GA4, Tag Manager, amongst others).
• Strategic familiarity with AI search ecosystems, like Google SGE, ChatGPT integration, Bing Copilot, Perplexity AI, etc.
• Proven proficiency with website development and technical improvement implementations for SEO/GEO.
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills, and new business development.
• Ability to create strategic documentation, reports, and performance forecasts.
• Analytical mindset with high proficiency in Excel (absolute must), Data Studio, and visualization tools.
