Search & Discovery Strategist (SEO Everywhere)

Full-time contractual on Mavlers’ payroll

About the Role

We’re looking for more than a traditional SEO. This role is about understanding how people find and trust information across the web; not just on Google, but in TikTok feeds, Reddit threads, AI-powered search overviews, and other discovery layers that are shaping user journeys today.

You’ll partner with the client's team to expand visibility of their content hub. The client will own the content writing; your job is to guide where and how that content gets discovered.

This is both a strategic and execution role: you’ll set the direction, then roll up your sleeves to make it happen.

Key Responsibilities

Search Everywhere Optimization (SEO + Beyond)

• Lead discovery strategies across Core Website, TikTok, Reddit, and other platforms where audiences search.
• Connect traditional SEO with emerging layers like AI Overviews, zero-click answers, structured data, and People Also Ask.

Technical & Content SEO

• Audit, optimize, and improve site health, Core Web Vitals, indexing, schema, and internal linking.
• Identify keyword opportunities aligned to product launches and content strategy.

Cross-Platform Visibility

• Develop playbooks for optimizing discoverability on TikTok and Reddit (hashtags, discussions, creator collaborations, content structuring).
• Monitor and adapt to search engine and platform algorithm changes.

Analytics & Reporting

• Define KPIs beyond just rankings; tracking mentions, engagement, site visits, conversions.
• Build performance dashboards and deliver insights to client stakeholders.

Consulting & Enablement

• Work directly with the US client as a strategic partner.
• Educate internal writers/marketers on keyword usage, topic clustering, and AEO best practices.

Required Skills & Expertise

• 7+ years of experience in SEO or digital visibility roles, with at least 2 years in cross-platform strategy (Reddit, TikTok, or similar).
• Proven success scaling traffic and discovery across both Google SEO and social search platforms.
• Technical SEO expertise: site audits, schema, Core Web Vitals, crawl optimization.
• Strong understanding of AI-powered discovery (Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, zero-click searches).
• Comfort with keyword research tools (SEMRush, SE Ranking, Ahrefs, etc.) and social listening/Reddit scraping.
• Analytical mindset with experience in GA4, GSC, and dashboarding tools.
• Excellent communication skills to act as a client-facing strategist.
• Thinks beyond “rankings” obsessed with how users discover and evaluate information.
• Bridges execution with strategic foresight.
• Hands-on optimizer who can also explain “why” to a client.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity as platforms evolve.
