Job summary

Lighthouse is seeking a Search Consultant for its India remote team. You will apply data-minimization, keyword optimization, and dtSearch techniques to reduce data volumes pre-review and deliver client-ready analyses.

The role requires 3+ years in ediscovery, fluency with dtSearch syntax, experience with Relativity, and the ability to read and generate regular expressions. Bachelor-level or higher in a related field is preferred.

What’s unique about this role?

Search Consulting is a team of experts in linguistics, eDiscovery law and process, and legal technology. The team consults on and supports pre-review data minimization, maximizing cull rates, and applying technology and search expertise to optimize downstream review efficiencies. The Search Consultant contributes to the team’s goals by providing services such as keyword search term optimization, analyzing, iterating, and reporting on terms to clients, and data minimization pre-review. This is a consultative role with the Search Consultant often communicating results and recommendations to counsel and clients, including, as necessary, on calls.

What will this person do?

• Conducts analysis and application of technology to reduce data volumes pre-review
• Contributes to development of workflow and SOP strategy and documentation
• Conducts search consultation services with high accuracy and timeliness
• Develops mastery of dtSearch syntax and relevant review platform features/functionality
• Mentors less experienced team members
• Performs other tasks as needed
• Develops expertise in all standard search consultation services and QC protocols
• Creates client-facing analyses, reports, and other deliverables
• Develops holistic understanding of client contexts, needs, and motivations
• Contributes to service management activities aimed at increasing knowledge, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Search team, such as:
  • Process and tool innovation
  • Service standardization and best practices definition
  • Creation of service documentation and formal training
  • Internal point of contact for project management teams
  • Proactively addresses questions from project management teams or clients in timely manner
  • Proactively collaborates with project management teams re: client communications/consultation/escalations

• Bachelor's degree at minimum or a post graduate degree. A degree in linguistics, mathematics, computer science, or similar field of study or additional equivalent years of experience in eDiscovery is preferred
• Comfortable with a remote working environment with space available for office infrastructure and private workspace
