Job summary

Groupe SEGULA Technologies SA in Chennai, India, seeks an automotive seating design engineer to lead design release and execution for seating subsystems using UG NX, CATIA V5, and Teamcenter. You will drive cost and weight optimization across Seat Structures, Plastics, Headrests, Armrests, and JIT assemblies.

The role requires close coordination with Tier-1 suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure proper fit, form, and function while meeting program milestones and quality targets.

Qualifications

Job description

• esign Release & Execution: Lead component and assembly-level design release using 3D CAD software (UG NX / CATIA V5 / Teamcenter) across seating subsystems (Seat Structures, Seat Plastics, Headrests, Armrests, and JIT assemblies).

• Value Optimization (VO) & Cost Reduction: Identify cost, weight, and investment (C/W/I) optimization opportunities to maximize system efficiency.

• Testing & Comfort Validation: Establish DVP&R and DFMEA plans to validate seat comfort, safety, durability, and functional performance.

• Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Tier-1 suppliers, studio designers, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure proper fit, form, and function.
