Job summary

ESP Engineered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, seeks an individual skilled in seat design and compliance checks. Responsibilities include performing design integrity checks, conducting homologation studies, and creating SOPs for safety layouts. Proficiency in NX software and understanding of regulatory standards (FMVSS & ECE) are essential. Ideal candidates will have experience in benchmarking seat comfort and working on seat structure modifications within vehicle timelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to create and update seat simulations.

• Conduct design integrity checks for seat parts.

Creations for Packaging studies and Design Integrity checks through NX.

Involved in regulatory checks (FMVSS & ECE), seat comfort study, Benchmarking, Seat Plastic design, plastic attachment features

IIHS, EURO NCAP studies for headrestraints

Seat Structure parts design and modifications through, Seat Side shield, Arm rest and Recliner handle design through.

Seat Kinematics/Simulation Creation and Updates

EBOM To TC Release works

Design Integrity checks for Seat Parts within seats and with environment in Vehicle Tree through Teamcenter NX and Vis Mockup

Design Practice Checks for Various seat components like Foam, Back panel, Structure, Side Shield, Head Restraints, Plastics etc…in order to check the compliance of these parts of the new seats in every steps of the vehicle timeline

Mass and CG checks for vehicle timeline, Teamcenter Parts Design update, Check and Release of the sub and assembly parts in every steps of vehicle Timeline.

Homologation study and Safety layout checks

Created SOPs for some Safety layouts for seat and child seat restraints
