Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in India is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer focused on seating systems. You will lead design release and validation using UG NX and CATIA V5, covering seat structures, plastics, headrests, and armrests, while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure fit, form, and function.

The role emphasizes cost and weight optimization, development of DVP&R and DFMEA plans, and hands-on testing to assure safety, durability, and performance across JIT

Responsibilities

• Lead design release using 3D CAD software (UG NX / CATIA V5) for seating subsystems (Seat Structures, Seat Plastics, Headrests, Armrests, JIT assemblies)
• Identify cost, weight, and investment optimization opportunities to maximize system efficiency
• Establish DVP&R and DFMEA plans to validate seat comfort, safety, durability, and functional performance
• Collaborate with Tier-1 suppliers, studio designers, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure proper fit, form, and function

• Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Tier-1 suppliers, studio designers, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure proper fit, form, and function.
