Job summary

Birlasoft in Bengaluru is seeking a Functional UAT Tester to collaborate with business stakeholders, define UAT scope, and prepare test cases based on requirements.

You will validate end-to-end workflows, coordinate UAT execution with business users, document results, and obtain sign-off. Strong STLC, ERP/CRM testing, and SQL skills are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in UAT and ERP/CRM testing.
• Ability to translate business requirements into test scenarios.
• Strong SQL and database validation skills.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA, ADO).
• Experience in Agile/sprint-based testing.

.Functional UAT Tester Role Description

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and define UAT scope and objectives.

Prepare comprehensive UAT test cases and scenarios based on business process flows and requirements.

Validate end-to-end workflows and ensure alignment with business expectations.

Facilitate UAT execution by coordinating with business users and providing necessary support.

Document UAT results, feedback, and obtain formal sign-off from stakeholders.

Ensure all critical business scenarios and edge cases are covered during UAT.

Track, analyse, and resolve issues identified during UAT in collaboration with development and QA teams.

Maintain clear and detailed documentation of test cases, defects, and resolutions.

Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and UAT processes.

Experience in testing ERP, CRM, or other enterprise applications.

Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA,ADO or similar.

Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into test scenarios.

Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of SQL and database validation.

Exposure to Agile methodologies and sprint-based testing cycles.

Knowledge in API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
