Job summary

Zaggle is seeking a sharp SDET II to own quality across Android, iOS, and web surfaces. You will shape test strategy, build automation, and be the last line of defense before anything ships to users. This role requires hands-on testing across platforms and strong scripting skills.

You will collaborate with product and engineering in an agile environment, ensuring release quality through test design and metrics-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SDET or QA engineering roles.
• Hands-on with mobile testing (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).
• Strong scripting in Python, Java, or Kotlin.
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, or similar).
• CI/CD familiarity with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.
• Comfortable working in agile, sprint-based team.
• Security-aware testing is a differentiator (OWASP Top 10).
• Exposure to fintech/payments/compliance-heavy environments is valued.

Responsibilities

• App sanity & release testing: End-to-end testing across Android, iOS, and web.
• Test automation: Build/maintain automation suites; integrate into CI/CD.
• API testing: Validate REST/GraphQL contracts, edge cases, performance baselines.
• Test case design: Write clear, reusable test plans for new features.
• Bug triage & quality metrics: Track defects, report release health, drive quality talks with product and engineering.

Job Overview

We're looking for a sharp SDET II to own quality across our Android, iOS, and web surfaces. You'll shape test strategy, build automation, and be the last line of defense before anything ships to users. This isn't a ticket-closing role. You'll have real ownership over how we think about quality from design to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• App sanity & release testing: Own end-to-end testing across Android, iOS, and web (functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory).
• Test automation: Build and maintain automation suites for frontend and API layers; integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• API testing: Validate REST/GraphQL contracts, edge cases, error handling, and performance baselines.
• Test case design: Write clear, reusable test plans for new features; review PRs from a testability lens.
• Bug triage & quality metrics: Track defect trends, report release health, and drive quality conversations with product and engineering.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in SDET or QA engineering roles
• Hands-on with mobile testing (Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest)
• Strong scripting in Python, Java, or Kotlin
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, or similar)
• CI/CD familiarity with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc

• Security-aware testing is a strong differentiator
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, hands-on experience with Burp Suite or OWASP ZAP, or participation in bug bounty programs will set you apart
