Job summary

Quarks Technosoft Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to own test automation strategy for one or more modules.

This role requires hands-on contribution across projects and a focus on maximizing ROI from automation. Candidates should have 1–3 years of automation testing experience, strong Java and Python skills, and proficiency with Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Maven, REST tests, and DB querying.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in Automation Testing.
• Strong with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Hands-on Java – Test automation.
• Experience in Python scripting.
• Knowledge of TestNG, Maven, HTTP client and REST/web services testing.
• Familiarity with DB queries and API testing using Rest Assured.

Responsibilities

• Add new capabilities to the automation framework used by the QA team.
• Maintain test coverage and report progress to engineering and stakeholders.
• Contribute hands-on on one or multiple projects concurrently.
• Independently execute and manage complex projects with stakeholders.
• Design and implement optimal test strategy and test plans for short and long term projects.
• Understand and implement design patterns in test automation.

Job description

Software Development Engineer in Test is a technical individual contributor role and in this role, an individual is solely responsible for setting up and implementation of test automation strategy from Functional and Non-functional perspective for one module or multiple modules who you work with. In this role, you are also responsible to find innovative ways to optimize the test strategy for maximizing ROI from areas that are undertaken for automation.

What will you get to do here?

• SDET is responsible for the addition of new capabilities and features in the automation framework which is used by the entire QA team for test automation. You are also responsible for managing and maintaining test coverage through periodic reports to engineering and stakeholders.
• Will play an expert role and demands a complete hands-on contribution on Single or multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be an Independent executioner and has prior experience in handling complex projects with stakeholders.
• Must have prior experience in creating optimal test strategy (Including Functional, Non-Functional, Analytics and automation) and test plans for short term and long-term projects both.
• Must have understanding and implementation level experience on design pattern

What qualities are we looking for?
