Job summary

Teachmint in Bengaluru is seeking a highly skilled SDE 3 – Backend engineer to drive design and development of large-scale backend systems. You’ll own complex technical problems, build high-performance Python services, and influence architectural decisions across the engineering team.

Responsibilities include end-to-end backend development, architecture design, code quality, and cross-functional collaboration with frontend, DevOps, product and QA to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python 3.x experience with Django or Flask.
• Strong background in distributed systems and architecture.
• Experience with MongoDB, Cassandra, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Proven microservices design and deployment.
• RESTful API design and standards.
• Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Mentoring teams or leading technical initiatives.
• Strong communication and collaboration.

• Problem Solving: Diagnose production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
• Continuous Improvement: Explore new technologies, evaluate tools, and propose innovative approaches to enhance backend capabilities.

Requirements and Skills:

• Python Proficiency: 5+ years of experience with Python 3.x and frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Backend Excellence: Strong background in system design, architecture patterns, and distributed systems.
• Database Skills: Experience working with both NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Microservices: Proven experience designing and deploying microservice-based systems.
• API Development: Solid understanding of RESTful API standards and best practices.
• Cloud Experience: Hands-on exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Leadership: Demonstrated experience mentoring teams or leading technical initiatives.
• Communication: Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration solutions.
• Experience with Pytest, Unittest, or similar testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
