Job summary

M2P Fintech is seeking a passionate Python developer to build and scale high-performance, distributed software systems. In a fast-paced Agile team, you will tackle engineering challenges and deliver innovative, scalable backend services that impact business outcomes.

You will work on large-scale production systems, contribute to architecture discussions, and collaborate with experienced engineers through code reviews to deliver reliable platforms.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of hands-on coding and software design.
• Proficiency in Python; other languages ok but Python is required.
• Experience with AWS tools or services is a plus.
• Experience with databases like Postgres/Redis/Redshift/S3/DynamoDB is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-traffic web services.
• Participate in Agile, CI/CD, peer reviews.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Brainstorm with the team on re-architecting for scale.
• Design architecture for pipelines and scale production services.

As part of a dynamic cross-functional team, you will work in a fast-paced Agile environment, solving complex engineering challenges and delivering innovative solutions that directly impact business outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to work on large-scale production systems, contribute to architecture discussions, and gain hands-on experience building scalable backend services. You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to building reliable and efficient platforms.

What Will You Doin this Role:

• Experience in handling high-traffic web services.
• Experience in practices like Agile, peer reviews, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
• Ability to excel individually and in a team.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Brainstorm with the team on re-architecting an existing product for scale.
• Design architecture for a pipeline, solving scale issues for a production service.
• Improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews.

What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role:

• 1-3 years of hands-on coding and software design.
• Proven track record of completing projects on time with a strong sense of ownership.
• Expertise in Python (experience with other languages works, but our code is in Python, you must be able to get up to speed quickly).
• Experience in working with AWS tools.
• Strong expertise in any one of the database systems like Postgres, Redis, Redshift, S3, DynamoDB.
• Curiosity to look into problems and determination to identify solutions.
• Instinct to identify possible problem areas and the ability to pre-empt a misstep.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment while building positive work relationships.
