Job summary

Allegis Group in Pune, India is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate Scrum processes, coach teams, and remove impediments to delivery.

You will lead ceremonies, manage the Scrum board in Jira, and drive continuous improvement while tailoring practices to team and organizational needs. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Scrum Master experience, CS|PSM certification, strong communication, and hands-on Jira expertise.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as Scrum Master or similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field.
• CSM or PSM certification preferred.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Agile tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Support teams in planning and estimating sprint work.
• Act as a Servant Leader and Agile Coach, resolving conflicts.
• Conduct 1-on-1s to address concerns and improve collaboration.
• Consult with teams and stakeholders on Scrum practices and Agile ways of working.
• Manage and maintain the Scrum Board, Jira and other tools up to date.
• Analyze burndown charts and planning metrics to track progress.
• Identify and remove blockers through process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement in team workflows, productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Support teams in planning and estimating sprint work while preventing over-commitment and scope creep.
• Act as a Servant Leader and Agile Coach, supporting team members and resolving conflicts.
• Conduct 1-on-1s with team members to address concerns and improve collaboration.
• Consult with teams and stakeholders on Scrum practices and Agile ways of working.
• Manage and maintain the Scrum Board, ensuring Jira and other tools are up to date and functioning effectively.
• Analyze burndown charts and planning metrics to track progress.
• Identify and remove blockers and address internal roadblocks through process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement in team workflows, productivity, and efficiency.
• Adapt Scrum practices based on team dynamics and organizational requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum principles, ceremonies, and artifacts.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Hands-on experience with Jira/Scrum boards and Agile tracking tools.
• CSM or PSM certification is an advantage.
