Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced SCM Team Lead to lead and develop a high-performing team across global functions. You will drive end-to-end supply chain processes with focus on procurement, planning, supplier qualification, and order management.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and global teams to mitigate risks, improve service levels, and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and AI-enabled projects for efficiency and cost savings.
This position involves leading and developing a team of SCM professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration. The SCM Team Lead works closely with internal stakeholders and global teams to ensure efficient execution of supply chain activities, mitigate risks, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
How you’ll make an impact:
Ensure timely and accurate execution of end-to-end SCM processes, including procurement, sourcing, planning support, supplier qualification, and order management and monitor and achieve agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Drive customer and stakeholder satisfaction through high-quality service delivery.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of SCM professionals and set performance objectives, conduct reviews, and build succession and capability plans. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee daily shared services operations and ensure workload balance across the team and ensure consistent execution of standardized global processes and best practices. Identify and mitigate operational risks affecting business continuity and customer deliveries.
Drive process optimization, standardization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives and lead Continuous Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, and AI-enabled projects to improve efficiency and productivity. Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational excellence.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, business units, and suppliers and act as the escalation point for operational and supplier-related issues.
Support supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and compliance activities.
Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
Support risk management and compliance initiatives across SCM operations.
Monitor and report operational performance through dashboards and management reviews and analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
Drive KPI improvement plans and ensure performance targets are consistently achieved.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sourcing, Planning and Shared Services Operations.
Experience in leading and managing teams.
Hands-on experience in end-to-end SCM operations, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), PR-to-PO processing, tactical sourcing, supplier qualification, procurement, and order management.
Strong knowledge of global supply chain processes, procurement practices, supplier management, and operational governance.
Experience working in a Shared Services, Global Business Services (GBS), or Center of Excellence (CoE) environment is preferred.
Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, automation, digitalization, or other process excellence methodologies.
Familiarity with AI technologies.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
Demonstrates effective use of AI and digital tools to enhance problem-solving, decision-making, and productivity, while applying sound judgement, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and maintaining accountability for outcomes.
