Job summary

SEGULA Technologies is a global engineering group seeking a Packaging & Logistics Engineer to challenge suppliers on export packaging performance and cost, drive density improvements, and implement Design for Logistics ideas.

You will arrange logistics and packaging approvals for new flows, ensure milestones, monitor CFR, and coordinate validation with manufacturing and suppliers to optimize packaging throughout industrialization.

Responsibilities

• Challenge parts suppliers and packaging vendors on export packaging performance and cost.
• Drive efficiency in packaging through density improvement and value engineering.
• Implement DFL (Design for Logistics) ideas.
• Arrange logistics and packaging approval for new flows and ensure project milestones are met.
• Ensure compliance with project objectives: deadlines, costs, ergonomics, and quality.
• Explore packaging types (corrugated, wood, steel, RSR) and strategies (pooling, lease, upfront investment).
• Benchmark packaging solutions against OEMs and industry standards.
• Provide monthly updates on volume and cost per car (actual vs target) with deviation analysis.
• Develop prototype packaging and coordinate validation with manufacturing, IQ, and suppliers.
• Improve container fill ratio (CFR) and optimize packaging material usage.
• Develop a plan with suppliers for mass production of packaging.
• Monitor and report progress as per procurement strategy during industrialization.
• Manage digital and physical packaging trials and validations.
• During supplier consultations, provide logistics cost inputs (internal logistics, upstream transport, supplier logistics).
• Support supplier selection and contribute to purchase price setting.
