Job summary

Gramik is seeking an experienced Senior Agronomist in Uttar Pradesh to provide science-based advisory to farmers and support Gramik’s advisory, product, sales, and technology teams. The role focuses on crop nutrition, pest and disease management, and product recommendations.

You will develop nutrition and protection protocols, tailor fertilizer and product recommendations, and train staff while contributing to digital advisory initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in Agronomy, Crop Advisory, or Agri-Input Industry.
• Strong understanding of Plant Nutrition, Pest Management, Plant Diseases, and Crop Protection.
• Excellent knowledge of fertilizers, micronutrients, bio-stimulants, pesticides, fungicides, and bio-products.
• Ability to diagnose crop problems and provide practical, commercially available product recommendations.
• Strong communication and farmer training skills.
• Knowledge of major crops grown in Uttar Pradesh and North India will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose crop nutrient deficiencies, pest infestations, and diseases based on farmer inputs, field observations, and crop symptoms.
• Provide crop-stage-wise recommendations for fertilizers, micronutrients, bio-stimulants, insecticides, fungicides, and other crop protection products.
• Develop Crop Nutrition & Crop Protection Protocols for major crops.
• Recommend the right product, right dosage, right application method, and right application time.
• Create crop calendars, Package of Practices (PoP), and advisory content for farmers.
• Support Gramik's farmer advisory, call centre, sales, product, and technology teams with agronomy expertise.
• Evaluate and validate new agri-input products based on technical composition, field efficacy, and farmer requirements.
• Conduct field visits, crop diagnostics, product trials, and training programs.
• Train internal teams and field staff on crop nutrition, pest management, disease management, and product recommendations.
• Contribute agronomy knowledge to digital advisory and AI-based crop recommendation systems.
