Job Summary

The School Principal is the chief academic and executive leader of the residential school. This role demands a dynamic visionary who blends CBSE academic excellence and 24/7 boarding pastoral care with aggressive institutional growth, marketing, and school development. The Principal is responsible for driving student enrollment, elevating the schools brand value, modernizing infrastructure, and ensuring 100% compliance with CBSE bye-laws. As a residential position, the Principal lives on campus and serves as the primary face and custodian of the school's community and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

1. School Development & Strategic Planning

• Master Planning: Develop and execute a 3-to-5-year institutional growth blueprint focusing on academic, infrastructural, and financial milestones.
• Infrastructure Upgradation: Oversee the modernization of campus facilities, including digital classrooms, state-of-the-art science/STEM labs, sports complexes, and upgraded boarding houses.
• Policy Formulation: Design and implement progressive institutional policies that elevate global standards of education while maintaining the core values of the school.

2. Marketing, Branding & Enrollment Growth

• Enrollment Drive: Meet and exceed annual student admission targets through strategic outreach campaigns, open houses, and robust interactions with prospective families.
• Brand Positioning: Partner with marketing teams to position the school as a premier residential destination locally, nationally, and internationally.
• Digital Presence: Supervise the schools digital footprint, ensuring the website, social media channels, and public relations (PR) efforts effectively highlight student achievements and campus life.
• Alumni & Networking: Cultivate an active Alumni Association to foster institutional loyalty, fundraising opportunities, and network-driven admissions.

3. CBSE Academic Excellence & Compliance

• Curriculum Alignment: Ensure rigorous implementation of the CBSE curriculum, including National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines, skill-based subjects, and holistic assessment frameworks.
• Board Examinations: Drive pedagogical strategies to achieve 100% passing results and high distinction averages in Class X and XII Board Examinations.
• Affiliation Management: Smoothly handle all CBSE affiliation renewals, inspections, documentation, and mandatory disclosures as per Board bye-laws.

4. Residential Life & Pastoral Care

• Dormitory Management: Supervise the residential hierarchy (Housemasters/mistresses, Wardens, Tutors) to ensure a safe, disciplined, and nurturing environment.
• Holistic Development: Design a rich post-school routine featuring supervised remedial classes, sports academies, hobbies, and structured weekend activities.
• Mess & Health Care: Partner with vendors to ensure top-tier hygiene and nutrition in the school mess, alongside 24/7 medical readiness in the campus infirmary.

5. Financial Management & Leadership

• Budget Optimization: Manage the annual school budget efficiently, balancing academic upgrades with marketing expenses and operational costs.
• Staff Retention: Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier faculty and residential staff through continuous professional development and performance incentive programs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Post Graduate Degree in an academic discipline from a recognized university, along with or higher. As per policy
• A degree/diploma in Educational Management or an MBA is a distinct advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 1215 years of teaching and administrative experience, with at least 5 years as a Principal or Vice-Principal in a reputed CBSE residential school.
• Track Record: Proven, demonstrable success in increasing student enrollment, executing school branding initiatives, or leading institutional turnaround projects.
• Age Limit: Generally preferred as per policy
