Job summary

ACCIONA Energía in Bengaluru seeks a capable professional to monitor forecasting and scheduling accuracy for renewable assets, coordinate with central/state agencies, and manage DSM-related processes. You will prepare MIS reports and liaise with HO teams to ensure timely data flow.

Required: a BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical or Renewables, 4–5 years of relevant experience in asset maintenance/operations, strong analytical skills, English proficiency, and willingness to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. from a recognized university (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewables, etc.)
• 4-5 years of experience in similar technical functions.
• Experience in maintenance and operation of technological assets.
• Proficiency with technical analysis and problem-solving in production plants.

Responsibilities

• Develop day-ahead and intraday scheduling strategies to optimize assets.
• Forecast short- and mid-term power demand and supply.
• Monitor Indian power market trends, regulatory changes and price movements.
• Execute trading operations in market segments in line with guidelines.
• Identify and mitigate trading risks and prepare reports.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description

1. 1. Responsible for monitoring of Forecasting and scheduling accuracy of Renewable assets and follow up with agency.
2. 2. Liasoning and regulatory updates from central/state/nodal governing agencies
3. 3. Coordination with QCA and nodal agencies for settlement of DSM charges
4. 4. DSM invoices and payments processing
5. 5. Daily, weekly, monthly Periodic performance analysis and MIS reporting
6. 6. Monitoring of Continual Data availability of required parameters to F&S agency
7. 7. Internal Communication and co-ordination with Sites and HO team
8. 8. Exposure to different geographic regions is preferable.
9. 9. Knowledge of SCADA, OPC and basic trouble shooting is required.
10. 10. Basic knowledge of Substation and metering point equipment’s is required.
11. 11. Commercial understating is essential.
12. 12. Comfortable with Rotational shifts and weekly off.

Scheduling & Dispatch Optimization

Develop and execute day-ahead and intraday power scheduling strategies to optimize generation assets and/or power purchase agreements.

Demand & Supply Forecasting

Utilize various analytical techniques and market data to develop accurate short-term and medium-term forecasts for power demand and supply.

Market Analysis

Continuously monitor and analyze Indian power market trends, regulatory changes, transmission constraints, and price movements to identify trading opportunities and risks.

Trading Operations

Execute power trades in various market segments (e.g., day-ahead market, real-time market, bilateral contracts) in compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.

Risk Management

Assist in identifying and mitigating trading risks through position monitoring and adherence to risk management frameworks.

Reporting & Analysis

Prepare regular reports on trading activities, portfolio performance, and market insights.

Stakeholder Coordination

Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g., plant operations, commercial teams) and external stakeholders (e.g., grid operators, counterparties).

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE
