Role Overview We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in API testing and API automation. The ideal candidate should also be proficient in using Playwright for web application automation and have experience validating data at the database level. Knowledge of AI-assisted development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar tools will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs. Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and exploratory testing. Create and execute API test scenarios covering: RESTful and/or SOAP APIs Request and response validation Status codes and headers Authentication and authorization Positive and negative test cases Error handling and boundary conditions Develop and maintain API automation frameworks using suitable tools and programming languages. Automate web application test cases using Playwright. Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation components. Perform database validation testing using SQL queries. Validate data integrity between the user interface, APIs, and database. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Analyze test failures, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues. Prepare test plans, test cases, test execution reports, and defect documentation. Participate in requirements analysis, sprint planning, code reviews, and defect triage meetings. Contribute to improving test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall quality practices. Use AI-assisted to such as GitHub Copilot, where appropriate, to improve test development and productivity.
