Job summary

Sunbrilo Technology in Pune, India is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, building scalable UI and end-to-end frameworks.

You will drive test automation across CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with developers and QA teams, and contribute to quality metrics through detailed reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation.
• Hands-on Playwright expertise.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or another supported language.
• Strong understanding of Web UI and End-to-End Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Git and GitHub.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted automation.
• Knowledge of API testing and integration testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Knowledge of test automation framework design and Page Object Model.
• Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and defect life cycle.

Responsibilities

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Create and maintain scalable UI and end-to-end automation frameworks.
• Develop test scenarios, test cases, and automation scripts based on functional and business requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Use GitHub for source code management, branching, pull requests, code reviews, and collaboration.
• Leverage GitHub Copilot to improve test automation development, code quality, and productivity.
• Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work closely with developers to resolve defects.
• Maintain test data, test environments, reusable utilities, and automation libraries.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Prepare automation reports and communicate test results, defects, risks, and quality metrics.
• Continuously improve automation coverage, framework performance, and testing processes.

Required Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript or another language supported by the automation framework.
• Strong understanding of Web UI and End-to-End Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Git and GitHub.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted test automation/code development.
• Good understanding of API testing and integration testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Knowledge of test automation framework design, Page Object Model, reusable components, and best practices.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and defect life cycle.
• Experience working with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Good knowledge of debugging, log analysis, and root-cause analysis.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Playwright Test Runner and parallel/cross-browser execution.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Experience with Docker and cloud-based testing environments.
• Knowledge of API automation using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API testing.
• Exposure to performance and security testing is an added advantage.
• Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot for test case generation, automation scripting, debugging, and code optimization.
