Job summary

ENGIE Energy and Services India Private Limited is hiring a SCADA & OT Integration Engineer to onboard utility-scale renewable sites across projects. You will coordinate with vendors and country teams, ensure data integrity, and support FAT/SAT activities to meet ENGIE standards.

The role requires a degree in electrical/electronics discipline, 5–9 years of SCADA experience, strong OT protocol knowledge, and English proficiency for international reporting.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication or equivalent discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own full SCADA Backbone onboarding for PV, BESS/Hybrid, and Wind sites from kickoff to Provisional Acceptance.
• Review SCADA architecture, SLD documentation, tag lists, and data models against ENGIE standards.
• Configure and troubleshoot site-level dataloggers, gateways, and servers across OT stack (Modbus, IEC 104, OPC UA, DNP3).
• Coordinate remotely with OEM vendors, EPC contractors and country teams to resolve blockers on time.
• Lead or support FAT/SAT activities, ensuring tag mapping accuracy and telemetry integrity before handover.
• Identify non-conformances in SCADA deliverables and track resolution to closure; elevate risks to SDH leadership.
• Develop playbooks and reference architectures to feed real-world requirements into automation tooling.

SCADA & OT Integration Engineer — Site Digitization Hub

We are looking for a SCADA & OT Integration Engineer to join our global team. You will own the end-to-end digital onboarding of utility-scale renewable sites, ensuring clean and auditable connectivity by Provisional Acceptance. What You'll Do

• Own full SCADA Backbone onboarding for assigned PV, BESS/Hybrid, and Wind sites from kickoff through Provisional Acceptance
• Review SCADA architecture, SLD documentation, tag lists, and data models against ENGIE standards, issuing structured compliance findings
• Configure and troubleshoot site-level dataloggers, gateways, and servers across the OT protocol stack including Modbus, IEC 104, OPC UA, and DNP3
• Coordinate remotely with OEM vendors, EPC contractors, and country commissioning teams to resolve integration blockers on time
• Lead or support FAT/SAT activities, ensuring tag mapping accuracy, data quality, and telemetry integrity before handover
• Identify non-conformances in SCADA deliverables, track resolution to closure, and elevate risks to SDH leadership
• Contribute to SDH standards by developing playbooks, reference architectures, and feeding real‑world requirements into automation tooling

What You Bring

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or equivalent discipline
• 5 to 9 years of hands‑on experience in utility-scale renewable energy SCADA engineering, with depth in solar PV commissioning and PPC integration
• Strong command of OT communication protocols: IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, Modbus TCP/RTU, and OPC DA/UA
• Ability to independently review and validate technical documentation including SLDs, points lists, protection relay schemes, and SCADA architecture drawings
• Familiarity with OT cybersecurity principles: network segmentation, DMZ design, and IT/OT boundary architecture
• Experience with cloud SCADA or monitoring platforms such as Bazefield, Univers Qantum, or equivalent
• Working proficiency in English with the ability to produce clear technical reports for international stakeholders
• Exposure to BESS integration or hybrid plant SCADA/PPC architecture is a strong plus
