Job summary

ENGIE Energy and Services India Private Limited in Pune seeks an OT Integration Engineer to own SDH digital solutions on Azure, focusing on data ingestion, extraction workflows, and output formats like Excel and JSON. You will build scalable data pipelines that transform technical PDFs and Excel deliverables, combining deterministic parsing with LLM components.

You will guide cloud footprint design for SDH tooling, collaborate with SCADA engineers to automate tag mapping, and set coding

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or equivalent discipline.
• 5 to 9 years of hands-on experience in utility-scale renewable energy SCADA engineering with strong Python depth.
• Deep working knowledge of industrial OT environments: SCADA concepts, tag lists, equipment hierarchies, OPC UA/DA.
• Strong command of Python data tooling (Pandas, Polars, NumPy) and modern API frameworks like FastAPI.
• Demonstrated experience architecting cloud-based data pipelines in production — Azure strongly preferred.
• Experience with LLM-based extraction or vision-to-structured-data pipelines, including prompt design and human-in-the-loop review patterns.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of SDH digital solutions on Azure — data ingestion, extraction workflows, and output in Excel/JSON.
• Design and build scalable data pipelines that extract from PDFs and Excel with deterministic parsing and LLM components.
• Architect the Azure footprint for SDH tooling — compute, storage, eventing, identity, observability.
• Partner with SCADA engineers to translate manual work into production-grade internal tools, including Tag Mapping automation.
• Set engineering standards for the SDH codebase: structure, testing, CI/CD, and code review discipline.
• Mentor junior developers and raise team technical maturity.
• Own full software lifecycle for SDH-built tools — from requirements to deployment and operations.

OT Integration Engineer — Site Digitization Hub

We're growing our Site Digitization Hub, the global Center of Excellence that connects renewable energy sites to ENGIE's corporate SCADA backbone. You'll own the engineering that makes 22 country entities digitally ready at handover. This is hands-on, high-impact work at the intersection of industrial OT and modern cloud architecture.

What You'll Do

• Own the architecture and evolution of SDH digital solutions on Azure — from data ingestion and extraction workflows to structured output generation in Excel, JSON, and downstream formats.
• Design and build scalable data pipelines that extract structured information from technical PDFs and Excel deliverables, combining deterministic parsing with LLM-based vision components.
• Architect the Azure cloud footprint for SDH tooling — compute, storage, eventing, identity, and observability — aligned with ENGIE's cloud governance standards.
• Partner with SCADA engineers to translate recurring manual work into production-grade internal tools, including the Tag Mapping automation pipeline.
• Set engineering standards for the SDH codebase: structure, testing, auditability, CI/CD, and code review discipline.
• Mentor junior developers and raise the technical maturity of the team.
• Own the full software lifecycle for SDH-built tools — from requirements capture through design, deployment, and operations.

What You Bring

• Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or equivalent discipline.
• 5 to 9 years of hands‑on experience in utility‑scale renewable energy SCADA engineering with strong Python depth.
• Deep working knowledge of industrial OT environments: SCADA concepts, tag lists, equipment hierarchies, OPC UA/DA, and at least one industrial platform such as Ignition, GE Proficy, or Kepware.
• Strong command of Python data tooling (Pandas, Polars, NumPy) and modern API frameworks like FastAPI.
• Demonstrated experience architecting cloud-based data pipelines in production — Azure strongly preferred.
• Experience with LLM-based extraction or vision‑to‑structured‑data pipelines, including prompt design and human‑in‑the‑loop review patterns.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
