Job summary

RGBSI in India seeks a skilled SCADA Engineer to design, implement, configure, monitor, and maintain SCADA systems for wind energy projects. You will work with project, operations and IT teams to ensure reliable data acquisition, remote monitoring, and seamless integration with grid operators.

The role requires hands-on work with PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, and industrial protocols, plus strong troubleshooting, documentation, and willingness to travel to sites for commissioning and support.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in SCADA systems, preferably in renewable energy (wind/solar/hybrid).
• Strong knowledge of networking and industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, IEC 104, OPC).
• Hands-on experience with Wind PPC, EMS, or Utility Dispatch systems.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity regulations for SCADA in India.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites for commissioning and support.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain SCADA systems (servers, HMIs, RTUs, PLCs, databases) for wind farms.
• Ensure reliable real-time monitoring and control of wind turbines.
• Develop and maintain communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, etc.).
• Troubleshoot network, communication, and system integration issues between wind turbines, PPC, and grid.
• Perform system testing, SAT, and commissioning of SCADA systems for new projects.
• Support remote and on-site troubleshooting of SCADA alarms, data integrity, and system availability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and utility/grid operators to ensure seamless integration and regulatory adherence.
• Prepare and maintain documentation (system architecture, communication diagrams, and O&M manuals).
• Train O&M teams on SCADA system usage and monitoring tools.
