Job summary

Deutsche Bank AG in Pune, India, is seeking a SAS Developer for Regulatory Reporting. You will join the SAS Team to build and optimize regulatory reports, stress tests, and board presentations. The role interfaces with Oracle, Java, MicroStrategy, and Unix, within an agile setup.

The candidate should have 6–9 years of SAS experience, strong SQL skills, and proficiency with SAS/Connect to Oracle. English fluency and analytical aptitude are essential.

Qualifications

  • 6–9 years SAS programming experience (Base & Macro).
  • Experience with SAS/Connect to Oracle and large data in big databases.
  • Fluent in English (written/verbal) and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with SQL and version control (Git/Bitbucket).
  • Knowledge of Python, Unix scripting and DevOps concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain regulatory reporting, stress testing and Board reports.
  • Collaborate with SAS Team in Pune and interface with Oracle/Java/MicroStrategy.
  • Work within Agile framework and participate in dbAgile processes.
  • Refine functional requirements from AlgoS and implement coding standards.
  • Break down specs for other developers and optimize performance.
  • Document, test, and support audit requests; participate in regular scrums.
  • Coordinate with Finance/Risk operations and production support teams.

SAS Developer (Regulatory Reporting)

Key responsibilities
  • The Developer will work as a member of the IT department which develops programs for the regulatory reporting, Stress Testing and reports for the Board.
  • The developer will be a part of the SAS Team in Pune.
  • This position covers a role which interfaces with several other technologies, mainly Oracle, Java, MicroStrategy and Unix.
  • Furthermore, there is a close collaboration with Business – Group Finance and Risk – Operations and Production Support and other IT areas.
  • Our department is following the agile working model.
  • Learning functional and technical context of the existing code base
  • Integration into the existing team and technical and functional enhancement of the code based on the existing platform.
  • Close cooperation with the Algorithmic Solutions team (AlgoS).
  • Development and refinement of the functional requirements provided by AlgoS.
  • Implementation of the requirements according to the coding standards given time limits.
  • Breaking down technical specifications into suitable implementation packages for other developers.
  • Performance optimization.
  • Documentation and continuous testing of new development.
  • Being point of contact for audit requests.
  • Participation on regular meetings following the agile working model (dbAgile@Scale) being a part of a squad and chapter.
  • Participation in refinement and code clean up.
Your skills and experience
  • At least 6-9 years’ experience in SAS programming using Base & Macro (V9)
  • Experience in development of complex topics and code
  • Working knowledge using SAS/Connect to Oracle
  • Advanced experience working with mass data in very large databases and tables
  • Experience with performance issues related to big data on a huge platform
  • Experience with testing environments and the development of test cases
  • Working knowledge developing SQL
  • Fluent in English (written/verbal)
  • Excellent analytical skills, flexibility regarding problem solving, open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
  • Service based architecture and designing of the same
  • Technical architecture especially framework design
  • Knowledge in GIT Bitbucket, Unix scripting and Python
  • Knowledge of working with AI code assist tools
  • Knowledge in financial business, especially in the counterparty credit risk area
  • Experience with SAS GRID Manager
  • Experience with Airflow/Google Cloud composer
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity

  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
