Job summary

Deutsche Bank in Bangalore invites an Engineer, NCT to join our Infrastructure and Cloud team. You will collaborate with senior engineers to provision environments, migrate workloads to hybrid or public clouds, and maintain non-production setups aligned with production configurations.

You’ll debug deployment issues, implement CI/CD pipelines, and support application teams with platform and performance guidance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub Actions).
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Containerization with Docker; Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible.
• Linux/Unix and basic SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• GitHub Actions/Workflows proficiency.
• Architecting scalable cloud infra and CI/CD pipelines with messaging queues (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to provision environments using IaC (Terraform).
• Migrate legacy workloads to hybrid/public cloud (GCP).
• Maintain non-production environments aligned with production configurations.
• Debug infra- and deployment-related issues with Dev/QA teams.
• Apply BDD and unit testing to improve release quality.
• Analyze production/UAT incidents to identify root causes and improve platforms.
• Provide L3 PROD/UAT support with clear stakeholder communication.
• Assist app development teams with platform, product, and performance guidance.
• Integrate vulnerability scanning and compliance checks into pipelines before production.
• Work with PL/SQL/Oracle SQL for ops and app support.
• Design and maintain secure zero-downtime CI/CD pipelines and robust MQ infra.
• Contribute to Agile delivery and ownership of stability and automation.

Your key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to manage environment provisioning using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Support the migration of legacy workloads to modern hybrid or public cloud environments (such as GCP).
• Maintain non-production environments (Dev, QA, UAT), ensuring they are aligned with production configurations.
• Help debug infrastructure-level and deployment-related issues in collaboration with development and QA teams.
• Apply BDD practices and unit testing to improve release quality and reduce production issues.
• Analyze production and UAT incidents, identify root causes, and improve platforms, monitoring, and automation to prevent recurrence.
• Provide L3 support for PROD and UAT issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders.
• Support application development teams with platform, product, and performance-related guidance.
• Integrate vulnerability scanning and compliance checks into the deployment pipelines, ensuring all banking security standards are strictly adhered to before code reaches production.
• Work with PL/SQL, Oracle SQL, and complex database queries for operational and application support.
• Design, automate, and maintain highly secure, zero-downtime CI/CD deployment pipelines and robust message-queuing infrastructure to ensure continuous, real-time FX transaction processing and seamless, low-latency data synchronization across complex interface partner systems.
• Contribute to development and operational tasks within an Agile delivery model.
• Demonstrate a proactive, solution-oriented mindset with ownership of stability, automation, and continuous improvement.

Mandatory skills and experience

• 1+ year experience with tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitHub Actions/workflows.
• Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate repetitive operational tasks.
• Containerization: Experience with Docker and good understanding of Kubernetes or OpenShift orchestration.
• Infrastructure as Code: Good exposure to configuration management or provisioning tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Operating Systems & Databases: Solid foundation in Linux/Unix environments and basic SQL knowledge (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Proficient in Github Actions/Workflows.
• Architecting and automating scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using open-source tools (such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and Jenkins) while integrating message queuing systems (like RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka) to ensure resilient, asynchronous application communication.

Good to have skills

• Good understanding of FX settlement and confirmation functionality
• Knowledge of Agile development methodology.
• Exposure to Swift messaging protocols and CLS settlements.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
