Job summary

Deutsche Bank in Pune, India seeks a Senior SAS Developer for Finance Data Warehouse at AVP level. You’ll join the SAS Team and develop regulatory reporting, stress testing and board reports, interfacing with Oracle, Java, MicroStrategy and Unix in an agile environment.

You’ll translate functional specs into robust SAS code, support audits, collaborate with AlgoS, and ensure quality through documentation and testing.

Qualifications

• At least 9-12 years experience in SAS programming using Base & Macro (V9).
• Experience with large data in very large databases and performance issues.
• Strong SQL and Agile SDLC knowledge, audit-friendly mindset.

Responsibilities

• Learn functional and technical context of the existing SAS code base.
• Integrate into the team and enhance code per platform.
• Close cooperation with AlgoS and domain teams.
• Translate requirements into robust SAS code with standards.
• Document and test new developments and support audits.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and dbAgile@Scale.

Senior SAS Developer - Finance Data Warehouse, AVP

Location: Pune, India Corporate Title: AVP

Role Description

The Senior Developer works as a member of the IT department which develops programs for the regulatory reporting, Stress Testing and reports for the Board. The developer will be a part of the SAS Team in Pune. This position covers a role which interfaces to several other technologies, mainly Oracle, Java, MicroStrategy and Unix. Furthermore, there is a close collaboration with Business Group Finance and Risk Operations and Production Support and other IT areas. Our department is following the agile working model.

Your key responsibilities

Learning functional and technical context of the existing code base Integration into the existing team and technical and functional enhancement of the code based on the existing platform Close cooperation with the Algorithmic Solutions team (AlgoS). Development and refinement of the functional requirements provided by AlgoS Implementation of the requirements according to the coding standards given time limits Breaking down technical specifications into suitable implementation packages for junior developers Documentation and continuous testing of new development Being point of contact for audit requests Participation on regular meetings following the agile working model (dbAgile@Scale) being a part of a squad and chapter Participation in refinement and code clean up Designing the new target architecture and breakdown into technical specifications Close collaboration with domain architecture team Supporting the replacement of SAS with a strategic solution Execution of Agile ceremonies, impediment resolutions and stakeholder management

Your skills and experience

At least 9-12 years experience in SAS programming using Base & Macro (V9) Experience in development of complex topics and code Working knowledge using SAS/Connect to Oracle Advanced experience working with mass data in very large databases and tables Experience with performance issues related to big data on a huge platform Experience with testing environments and the development of test cases Working knowledge developing SQL Good working knowledge of Agile SDLC model Experience with impediment resolution, agile ceremonies, stakeholder mgmt. and managing a squad/team of people Fluent in English (written/verbal) Excellent analytical skills, flexibility regarding problem solving, open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members Service based architecture and designing of the same Technical architecture especially framework design Desirable Knowledge in GIT Bitbucket, Unix scripting and Python Knowledge of working with AI code assist tools Knowledge in financial business, especially in the counterparty credit risk area Experience with SAS GRID Manager Experience with Airflow/Google Cloud composer Generative programming DevOps How well support you Training and development to help you excel in your career Coaching and support from experts in your team A culture of continuous learning to aid progression A range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your needs
