Job Description

This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office. HPE’s acquisition of Juniper Networks is one of the most significant moves in the company’s history, bringing two networking leaders together to build HPE Networking, with the ambition of creating the best networking business on the planet. This role sits at the center of that effort as part of the Lead-to-Cash (L2C) program, responsible for unifying quoting, ordering, and fulfillment across the combined HPE and Juniper networking portfolios onto a single platform, replacing fragmented legacy systems with one seamless, scalable experience for sellers, partners, and customers worldwide. As part of a fast-moving, multi-year transformation, the team will stabilize near-term operations, migrate core platforms, onboard businesses and suppliers globally, and build new capabilities from the ground up. The choices made here will shape how the combined networking business operates for years to come. You will work closely with business leaders, IT architects, suppliers, and partner stakeholders on a program with direct executive visibility, solving integration challenges at a scale few companies ever attempt. Workstream-Specific Details

We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Architect with 15 to 18 years of deep expertise in driving complex enterprise-wide transformations, system integration strategies, and technical governance. In this role, you will define the overall technical roadmap for our SAP landscape, spanning SAP S/4HANA, SAP CRM, BW/BW4HANA, and modern integration architectures. You will lead cross-functional technical teams through major rollouts, upgrades, and platform modernizations, bridging the gap between business strategy and technical execution.

Responsibilities

Architecture & Governance

• Serve as the principal technical authority across SAP S/4HANA, SAP CRM, BW, and integrated boundary systems.


• Design scalable, resilient, and secure end-to-end technical architectures that align with enterprise strategy and clean core principles.


• Set technical standards, coding guidelines, performance benchmarks, and architectural design patterns.

Integrations & Middleware

• Architect robust integration strategies connecting SAP S/4HANA and SAP CRM with legacy, cloud, and 3rd-party platforms (utilizing SAP BTP, CPI/Integration Suite, PO/PI, OData APIs, and REST/SOAP services).


• Oversee data flow design, realtime interface performance, and fault-tolerant message handling.

Upgrades, Rollouts & Lifecycle Management

• Lead technical execution for global SAP rollouts, system upgrades, kernel updates, and landscape modernizations.


• Partner with SAP Basis and Infrastructure teams to design high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), sizing, and transport management strategies (STMS/ ChaRM).


• Oversee legacy system cutovers, technical data migrations, and system downtime optimization strategy.

Analytics & Data Management (BW)

• Align SAP CRM and S/4HANA transactional architecture with SAP BW / BW4HANA / Analytics Cloud solutions for seamless data extraction and analytics.


• Optimize data extraction models, CDS views, and SLT replication frameworks.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Mentor and lead technical leads, ABAP developers, integration specialists, and Basis teams.


• Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects, Functional Leads, C-level executives, and external implementation partners.

Education And Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree an asset.

Knowledge And Skills

• Experience 12–15 years of hands-on technical experience in SAP development, architecture, and landscape design.


• Proven track record as a Technical Architect on at least 2–3 full-lifecycle end-to-end SAP implementation/migration projects (including S/4HANA conversions or greenfield deployments).


• Deep knowledge of S/4HANA architecture, ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, OData services, and Fiori UI5 extension techniques.


• Strong expertise in SAP CRM technical frameworks (BOL/GENIL, Web UI enhancement framework, One Order framework, and Middleware synchronization with ECC/S4).


• Proficiency with SAP BTP Integration Suite / CPI, Enterprise Messaging, API Management, and RFC/ALE/IDoc setups.


• Strong understanding of Basis concepts—system sizing, client copy strategies, transport management, OSS note application, system refresh, and DB performance tuning.


• Sound technical knowledge of SAP BW/BW4HANA architectures, CDS view-based extraction, and operational reporting setups.

Soft Skills & Leadership

• Strong problem-solving ability with a structured approach to technical trade-off decisions.


• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.


• Experience managing multi-vendor execution teams in global, distributed delivery models.
