Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Specialist Engineer for SAP Delivery in Bengaluru. The role is hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office, and requires 5–7 years in SAP/HPE environments, strong Linux skills, and advanced English communication. APJ support will be primary, with weekend standby on rotation.

The engineer will diagnose compute/storage/networking issues, expedite case resolutions, and contribute to internal knowledge bases while mentoring peers.

What you'll do

• Provide technical support for HPE Solutions for SAP HANA deployments across the world, with focus on APJ region.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to compute, storage, networking, virtualization and operating system.
• Drive timely resolution of support cases in alignment with SLAs.
• Document solutions, FAQs, and best practices to improve internal knowledge bases.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
• Must be comfortable working in APJ time zone [5 AM - 2 PM IST] on a regular basis and provide standby support on at least one weekend of each month.

What you need to bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering, or equivalent.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• 5 to 7 years of experience supporting HPE compute / storage products.
• Linux skills is must.
• Strong troubleshooting in compute, storage, networking, and Linux.

Nice To Have Skills

• Experience with PoCs, deployments, or customer facing technical roles.
• Proficiency in scripting/log analysis (PowerShell, Bash, Python preferred).
• SAP HANA database skills.
• Certification in SLES, RHEL or SAP HANA administration.
