Job summary

Empnéo ICT in Pune seeks a senior SAP MM/P2P escalation specialist to own investigation of procurement interface failures across SAP S/4HANA and ECC. You will diagnose PO/GR issues, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and implement remediation to prevent recurrence.

Strong incident management, 8–12 years of SAP experience, and deep knowledge of SAP OData/API, IDoc, RFC/BAPI are essential. Global 24x7 support experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with S/4HANA and ECC procurement processes and configuration.

• Proven track record in 24x7 global support and rapid issue containment.

Responsibilities

• Function as the senior escalation point for SAP interface failures and critical production incidents.
• Analyse PO, GR, and related procurement errors across configuration and interface layers.
• Validate SAP documents, logs, and integration payloads to determine root cause.
• Support reprocessing, reconciliation, and business recovery for failed transactions.
• Advise teams on business rules, fields, document sequencing, and system behavior.
• Coordinate with SAP Functional, Technical, Basis and external integration teams.
• Document root causes, fixes, workarounds, and preventive controls.

Job description

Provide senior standby and escalation support for SAP procurement interfaces, ensuring rapid diagnosis and resolution of critical PO, GR, and related integration failures across SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments.

Experience

8–12 years of experience in SAP MM/P2P with strong SAP integration and production-support experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Function as the senior escalation point for SAP-side interface failures and critical production incidents.
• Analyse PO, GR, and related procurement transaction errors across SAP configuration, master data, and interface layers.
• Validate SAP documents, message status, application logs, and integration payloads.
• Support reprocessing, reconciliation, and business recovery for failed transactions.
• Advise integration teams on SAP business rules, mandatory fields, document sequencing, and system behaviour.
• Support releases, high-risk deployments, and stabilization periods.
• Document root cause, permanent fixes, workarounds, and preventive controls for recurring issues.
• Coordinate with SAP Functional, Technical, Basis/Security, and external integration teams.

Required Skills and Experience

• Expert-level SAP MM/P2P knowledge with strong PO and goods-receipt troubleshooting capability.
• Strong knowledge of SAP OData/API, IDoc, RFC/BAPI, and interface-monitoring concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting S/4HANA and ECC procurement behaviour.
• Ability to quickly differentiate functional, technical, master-data, and integration defects.
• Strong production-support, incident-management, and root-cause-analysis experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively during critical/time-sensitive incidents.
