Job summary

VertexOne is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Architect/Technical Lead to design and deliver SAP solutions for Utilities in a cloud-enabled environment. You will lead a team, collaborate with functional and NA teams, gather requirements, and deploy solutions for current and upcoming projects.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in SAP, including 2-4 years as an architect, strong S4 HANA and IS-U CCS experience, and excellent communication skills. Prior SAP Utilities exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in SAP domain with over 2-4 years as an architect
• SAP experience with S4 HANA and IS-U CCS utilizing SAP HANA
• Experience in SAP Utilities environment preferred
• Formal training or certifications in Project Management (PMP) and/or AGILE/SCRUM
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering mid-large SAP for Utilities implementations and support projects
• Work on Cloud environments
• Act as an architect or technical lead for SAP implementation or support projects
• Knowledge and experience in S4 HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, FIORI, OData
• Lead SAP modules for Utilities and multi-system interfaces
• Manage technical aspects of project life cycle to deliver to executives
• Identify and mitigate project risks, provide leadership and direction
• Convey status to executives and stakeholders; present executive summaries

Job description

Position Overview: Provide Technical solutions in an SAP ISU environment for NA clients and customized VertexOne SAP services. The prospective hire should be able to lead a team of technical resources and deliver solutions for our current and upcoming projects. She/he should collaborate with the functional team, client(s) and NA team members to gather requirements, develop solutions, and deploy solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Should have experience in designing, and delivering mid-large sized SAP for Utilities, implementation, and support projects
• Should have experience working on Cloud environments
• Should have experience working as an architect or technical lead for SAP implementation or support project
• Should have knowledge and experience in S4 HANA, and new dimension technologies like CDS Views, AMDP, FIORI, OData and similar technologies
• Should have worked on any one of the SAP modules and have good understanding on modules of SAP for Utilities
• Should have good knowledge on interfaces and multi-system landscapes
• Can manage technical aspects of project life cycle to facilitate successful delivery to executive team.
• Identify, analyze, and recommend technical solutions to management having broad business impact.
• Identity project risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Provide project leadership, work direction and feedback.
• Motivate work of others outside of direct authority to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
• Convey and report status to executives, global business partners and all other key stakeholders.
• Present formal presentations and executive summaries to senior management to provide recommendations and status updates.
• Should be an excellent communicator and team player

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field
• Formal training or certifications in Project Management (PMP) and/or AGILE or SCRUM
• 12+ years in SAP domain with over 2-4 years as an architect experience
• SAP experience and understanding of S4 HANA, and IS-U CCS utilizing SAP HANA technologies
• Working experience in an SAP Utilities environment would be preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills set.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of any SAP ISU Modules like FICA/Billing/Device Management would be an added advantage
