Job summary

VertexOne is seeking an SAP BASIS Senior Consultant/Consultant to join a fully remote role in India. You will provide SAP BASIS, HANA administration, security, and Oracle DBA support within an ISU context for NA clients and VertexOne services.

Collaboration with cross‑functional teams across delivery and clients is essential. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of SAP BASIS experience, strong HANA and Oracle DB skills, and a track record in SAP implementation, upgrades, and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years SAP experience in SAP BASIS on implementation and support projects.
• SAP experience with SAP HANA DB and SAP Oracle DB.
• At least 3+ years of experience working in a SAP HANA DB environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Expert in SAP BASIS/Netweaver Administration, SAP HANA Administration SAP Security, and Oracle DBA Administration.
• Should be an expert in OS and DB installation for HANA.
• Should possess SAP Implementation experience including rollouts, SAP Technical Upgrades, SAP Application and HANA DB Support, DB Upgrades, EHP Upgrades, OS/DB migration to HANA.
• Should be experienced in defining system strategy, developing system requirements, sizing, designing and prototyping, defining support procedures.
• Should possess hands‑on experience of SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Fiori and ECC, BI EHP Upgrade and DB upgrade
• Should have hands on experience in SAP and Fiori Security setup and configurations.
• Should have good knowledge on SAP HANA Replications, SAP disaster recovery, SAP operations, SAP monitoring, SAP performance management and SAP incident management
• GRC project implementation and supported for NetWeaver tasks.
• Complete setup of Change & Transport System through STMS, Scheduling Background Jobs, Spool Administration, Client Maintenance, System Copies, applying Support Packs, Kernel Patches, Add‑on installations and advance corrections using SNOTE of SAP Basis Administration (full life cycle implementations)
• Interfaces with Business Stakeholders, IT Infrastructure teams, Development teams to ensure that business requirements are properly configured within SAP and 3rd Party applications
• Understands configuration dependencies and interrelationships between separate functional modules of SAP and designs and troubleshoots in the area with this knowledge

Position Overview:

Provide SAP BASIS, Database and Administration in an SAP ISU environment for NA clients and customized VertexOne SAP services. The prospective hire should be able to be a part of a team of Basis resources and deliver solutions for our current and upcoming projects. She/he should collaborate with the functional team, client(s) and NA team members to gather requirements, develop solutions, and deploy solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years SAP experience in SAP BASIS working on Implementation and Support projects
• SAP experience with SAP HANA DB and SAP Oracle DB
• At least 3+ years of experience working in a SAP HANA DB environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills set.

Desired Skills:

• Formal training or certifications in SAP BASIS/GRC/HANA/S4HANA.
• Experience in SAP Implementation and Support
• Knowledge of SAP IS-Utilities environment would be an added advantage
