Position Overview: Provide SAP ABAP Technical solutions in an SAP ABAP environment for NA clients and customized Vertex SAP services. The prospective hire should be able to lead a team of technical resources and deliver solutions for our current and upcoming projects. She/he should collaborate with the functional team, client(s) and NA team members to gather requirements, develop solutions, and deploy solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Expert in SAP ABAP with knowledge in SAP ERP environment, Enhancements (BADIs/User Exits/Enhancement Points, Forms), Module Pool programming, Reports (ALV and List), RFC Function modules (BAPI), and interfaces, BDC and Call Transactions
• Hands on experience with ABAP CDS views and AMDP, good knowledge of S4 HANA ABAP Coding standards
• Should have basic functional knowledge in any of the modules of SAP such as FICO (Finance & Controlling), PP (Production Planning), MM (Material Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), PM (Plant Maintenance) etc.
• Analyze client production operation defects and modify ABAP objects to correct the problem
• Work closely with functional team to ensure that business requirements are properly developed and deployed within SAP applications.
• Adjust technical objects and remove any conflicts caused by applying new service pack or enhancement pack or any upgrade activities.
• Understand VertexOne’s development standards and follows the standards in all future developments and enhancements
• Develops technical specifications and works with functional resources to complete object development and testing.
• Define unit test scenarios to cover full scope of the business as well as creating master data and carry out the unit, cycle and integration tests.
• Provide development estimates as requested by client for any new functionality/enhancement.
• May lead and coordinate the work of a small development team
• Provides leadership in the development of functional skills in others through active knowledge sharing

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science or similar related fields
• 5+ years SAP experience with ABAP development
• Minimum 2 End-to-End Implementations and at least 1 Support Projects
• Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills set.

Desired Skills:

• Formal training or certifications in SAP
• Experience in SAP with knowledge of SAP-MM/ SAP-FICO/ SAP-PP/ SAP-SD/ SAP-PM Data structures and tables
• Knowledge of any SAP ISU Modules like FICA/Billing/Device Management would be an added advantage
• SAP Certification in relevant Functional areas will be an added advantage.
• Experience in NetWeaver be an added advantag
