Job summary

Biopharma Careers invites an experienced SAP Solution Architect to lead SAP S/4HANA design and delivery for global processes. You will architect scalable, compliant SAP solutions and coordinate among business partners, process architects, and partners to ensure seamless integration across ERP components and connected apps.

You will drive solution quality through the application lifecycle, from concept to deployment and operational support, while upholding GxP, GDPR, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 12+ years of professional experience with SAP applications.
• 6+ years of experience in an international environment.
• Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation, project delivery and solution architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of SAP S/4HANA solutions and related project activities.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, compliant SAP solutions.
• Collaborate with business partners and process architects to identify fit-for-purpose solutions.

• Provide technical leadership throughout project delivery, testing, deployment, and handover.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external obligations including GxP, GDPR, software licensing.
• Minimize business disruption during go-live with robust design and cutover planning.

Position summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Solution Architect with a strong track record in SAP S/4HANA implementation and solution design across at least one major end-to-end business process, such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Plan to Produce, Account to Report, or Inbound to Outbound.

In this role, you will design, deliver, and maintain secure, compliant, scalable, and sustainable SAP solutions that meet business needs and enable efficient operations. You will work closely with business-facing organizations, business partners, process architects, project teams, implementation partners, and operational teams throughout the planning, preparation, execution, and monitoring of projects and business enhancements.

You will lead solution discussions, contribute to enterprise architecture decisions, and ensure effective integration across ERP components and connected applications. You will also be accountable for solution quality across the application life cycle, from initial concept and design through implementation, deployment, stabilization, and operational support.

Your Role

• Lead the design and delivery of SAP S/4HANA solutions and related project activities.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, compliant, maintainable, and supportable SAP solutions.
• Collaborate with business partners and process architects to identify fit-for-purpose, sustainable, and value-adding solutions.
• Assess solution options, provide architecture recommendations, and contribute to design decisions that shape the SAP landscape.
• Ensure effective integration across SAP modules including SD/LE, MM, EWM, TM, FI, CO, GTS, EH&S, and non-SAP applications like OpenText, Loftware, 3PL systems, Tax applications.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project delivery, business enhancements, testing, deployment, go-live, stabilization, and operational handover.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality solution design, application life-cycle management, reliable project delivery, and effective service introduction.
• Ensure compliance with internal process and security requirements and external obligations, including GxP, GDPR, and software licensing requirements.
• Minimize business disruption during go-live through robust design, effective testing, cutover planning, operational readiness, and a formal project handover process.

Project delivery

• Define solution scope, dependencies, interfaces, non-functional requirements, and technical acceptance criteria.
• Review and approve solution designs in accordance with architecture principles, development standards, and established guidelines.
• Support project planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure that solution documentation, test evidence, operational procedures, and handover materials are complete before production release.
• Support post-go-live stabilization and the transition of new or enhanced solutions into operational support.

Change, release, and application life-cycle management

• Ensure adherence to change and release management processes in line with relevant standard operating procedures.
• Monitor execution of the application life-cycle management plan for applications in scope.
• Ensure complete and accurate handover documentation is created and approved before production release.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve the SAP application landscape.

Who You Are

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 12 years of professional experience with SAP applications.
• At least 6 years of experience working in an international environment.
• Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation, project delivery and solution architecture.
• Experience leading technical discussions and coordinating internal teams, business stakeholders, and external delivery partners.
• Experience in regulated environments and with compliance-related requirements is an advantage.
• Management and leadership experience in an international environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with business partners, process architects, vendors, and technical teams.
• Ability to make sound decisions, manage ambiguity, and act autonomously.
• Strong customer focus and a high level of ownership for solution quality and delivery outcomes.
