Job summary

BearingPoint India is seeking an experienced SAP SD Functional Consultant to join a large SAP S/4HANA implementation program in India. The role focuses on Sales & Distribution with emphasis on pricing configuration, billing, and integration with SAP Convergent Invoicing and FI-CA.

The ideal candidate will configure SD for subscription-based and service-oriented models, work within BRIM data frameworks, and ensure seamless end-to-end billing.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of hands‑on SAP SD functional experience, including at least one full‑cycle S/4HANA implementation.
• Strong configuration skills in SD pricing and billing: pricing procedures, condition types, and output management.
• Solid understanding of SD-to‑FI‑CA integration, posting rules, and transfer to invoicing.
• Familiarity with SD-to‑Convergent Invoicing (CI) integration and BRIM data model.
• Experience writing clear functional specifications for ABAP developments and enhancements.
• Experience conducting business workshops and translating requirements into SD configuration.

Responsibilities

• Configure SAP SD processes scoped to subscription and service‑based sales, including BRIM order flows.
• Design and configure pricing procedures for one-time, recurring, and usage‑based charges synced with CI outputs.
• Configure and manage SD billing documents and output determination for CI handoff.
• Set up SD‑to‑FI‑CA integration rules and derivation of main/sub‑transactions from SD data.
• Configure CI integration and assign CI subprocesses to SD document types; adjust AIF settings.
• Participate in solution design workshops for BRIM data objects (BP, contract accounts, billing plans).
• Prepare functional specs, configuration workbooks, and integration designs for SD‑BRIM touchpoints.
• Develop and execute tests for unit, integration, and UAT of end‑to‑end billing flows.
• Support SD master data migration and data quality activities.
• Provide hypercare and post‑go‑live support for SD pricing, billing, and CI integration.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP SD Functional Consultant to join a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation program in India. In this role, the focus is on the Sales & Distribution workstream — with particular emphasis on pricing configuration, billing document management, and the integration of SD billing outputs with SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI) and FI-CA. The ideal candidate understands how SD fits into the broader Order-to-Cash and Consume-to-Cash process chains, and can configure and deliver SD solutions that align with subscription-based and service-oriented business models

Key Responsibilities

• Configure SAP SD processes scoped to subscription and service-based sales — including sales order types, item categories, schedule lines, and copy control relevant to BRIM subscription order flows


• Design and configure pricing procedures and condition techniques to support one-time, recurring, and usage-based charge scenarios aligned with BRIM billing outputs from SAP Convergent Charging


• Configure and manage SD billing documents, billing plans, and output determination to ensure accurate handoff of billing data to SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI) for consolidated invoice creation


• Set up and validate SD-to-FI-CA integration settings, including posting rules for customer account groups, transfer settings to invoicing, and derivation of main/sub-transactions from SD billing document data


• Configure integration between SD Billing and SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI), including assignment of CI subprocesses to SD document types, AIF settings, and mass activity configuration for transferring CI billing documents to SD Billing


• Participate in solution design workshops to define SD configuration aligned with BRIM data model objects — including business partners, contract accounts, provider contracts, and billing plans


• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, configuration workbooks, and integration design documents covering SD-BRIM touchpoints


• Develop and execute test scripts for unit testing, integration testing, and UAT — with a focus on end-to-end billing flows from subscription order through to invoice generation


• Support data migration activities for SD-relevant master data including customer masters, pricing condition records, and billing output condition types


• Provide hypercare and post-go-live support, resolving production incidents related to SD pricing, billing, and CI integration

Required Skills

• 4––7 years of hands‑on SAP SD functional experience, including at least one full‑cycle S/4HANA implementation — ideally in a BRIM or subscription billing context


• Strong configuration skills in SD pricing and billing: pricing procedures, condition types, access sequences, billing document types, billing plans, and output/condition‑based output management


• Solid understanding of SD-to‑FI‑CA integration: posting to FI-CA for customer account groups, transfer to invoicing settings, and derivation of controlling values from SD billing documents


• Working knowledge of SD-to‑Convergent Invoicing (CI) integration: CI subprocess assignment to SD document types, distributed CI/SD system settings, and AIF configuration


• Familiarity with the BRIM data model — including subscription orders, provider contracts, contract accounts, charge plans, and billable items — and how SD fits within the end-to-end BRIM process chain


• Ability to write clear and detailed functional specifications for ABAP developments, BAdIs, and enhancements related to SD pricing and billing


• Experience conducting business workshops, gathering requirements, and translating them into SD configuration and solution design


• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and agile/sprint‑based delivery practices

Nice to Have

• SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP S/4HANA Sales or SAP BRIM


• Industry experience in Telecommunications, Utilities, Media, or High‑Tech — sectors where BRIM and subscription billing are commonly deployed


• Exposure to SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI) or FI-CA processes — including billable item management, invoice creation, contract accounting, and collections


• Familiarity with SAP Convergent Charging (CC) concepts: charge plans, rating, recurring and usage‑based fees, and price plan configuration


• Knowledge of Solution Sales Billing (SSB) scenarios where SD Billing and FI-AR are used alongside Convergent Invoicing as an alternative to a pure FI-CA billing path


• Exposure to SAP BTP or cloud‑based extension scenarios relevant to SD or BRIM processes
